Cape Forby Safety Awareness
It was October 2009 when we held a safety awareness meeting for the crew and for the whole fleet from my company. We discuss about anything about our safety onboard, what to do and what is not. Sometimes we forget using our safety materials when working because we always did it every day and a little near miss can change the future of our life. The officer´s always reminded us to take precautionary measures and think about it before doing any works and always use the proper tools and protective gears.
Don’t play for safety – it’s the most dangerous thing in the world.
After the discussions, I set-up my camera and tripod then took some pictures as evidence that a meeting was held in our ship. Luckily after a few months that our last edition for the year of our company magazine Compass published, that picture sent by our Captain featured us in one page. It´s my first time to be in magazine and since it´s my first contract with them, what I´m proud of is my photo was used to that magazine and felt proud even not credited for that.
I still have this photo together with our wacky pose that they are unaware. That was like my second family onboard and it´s great working with them. (I´ll search again for that magazine to show you, soon…).
PS: Pardon my grammar, my English is bad.
